For over three decades, Empress EMS has dedicated their time, energy, and technology to bettering their community by providing excellent Emergency Medical Services and quality after care transportation. Empress EMS understands all too well the value of education for their staff to ensure quality care for patients during transport which is why we are proud to offer ongoing training for our paramedics and emergency medical transport personnel.
Our American Heart Association-centric classes include Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS), Basic Life Support (BLS), and Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) at our clean and detailed facilities.
Basic Life Support (BLS)
The Basic Life Support (BLS) class offered by Empress EMS is vital for all paramedics. In this class, learners can expect to learn how to perform high-quality chest compressions and how to identify a life-threatening medical emergency. With this training, multiple highly experienced staff members and paramedics work quickly and diligently to transport patients requiring advanced monitoring to and from hospitals, trauma centers, and special care units.
Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS)
The Advanced Cardiac Life Support (ACLS) training reviews important medical equipment for advanced monitoring like cardiac monitoring, IV therapy, and portable ventilators. BLS training equips Empress paramedics with the skills to monitor the mental and physical health of patients while in transportation. This course is for both experienced medical personnel and non-medical personnel with limited life support knowledge.
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS)
Pediatric Advanced Life Support (PALS) is a unique transportation and medical service course. Children and infants have different needs than adults and the protocol is essential to save lives. During the course, educators will teach interested medical professionals how to care for small children and infants in emergency situations including monitoring and compressions.
Upon the completion of the courses above, paramedics and emergency medical transport personnel will receive a course completion card and adequate training and experience for emergency experiences. Empress EMS’s commitment to furthering the education of medical personnel has been an essential part of who we are as an organization and the quality service we provide to local communities. Our training can save lives and hopefully inspire others to do the same.
